Three corner suites with a separate sitting room around a wood heater. In winter we lay the fire before you arrive and leave a basket of split wood by the hearth.

The Hearth Suites are the rooms people come back to in July. Each has a sitting room with a deep armchair, a writing desk and a wood heater, and a bedroom behind a pair of timber doors you can close against the cold.

A day bed in the sitting room takes a child under twelve, so they suit a small family as well as two people who want to spend a weekend reading.

Access, honestly

One Hearth Suite is on the ground floor, up two shallow steps from the garden path
The other two are on the first floor, by stairs only
Shower is over a bath with a 560 mm side
The wood heater has a guard; we can leave it unlit and rely on the heat pump if you prefer
